The Toronto Symphony Orchestra has received a JUNO Award nomination for Pulcinella in the category of Classical Album of the Year (Large Ensemble). Conducted by Music Director Gustavo Gimeno and released by Harmonia Mundi, the recording was captured live at Roy Thomson Hall and features Stravinsky’s complete Pulcinella alongside the Divertimento from Le Baiser de la fée and Curiosity, Genius, and the Search for Petula Clark, a TSO-commissioned work by celebrated Canadian composer Kelly-Marie Murphy. The album stars acclaimed soloists Isabel Leonard, Paul Appleby, and Derek Welton, and reflects the orchestra’s continued commitment to bold programming, Canadian creativity, and excellence in recorded performance. The 2026 JUNO Awards will take place on March 29, 2026, in Hamilton, Ontario.

The nomination comes ahead of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra’s next Harmonia Mundi release, The Miraculous Mandarin, out February 13, 2026. Recorded live at Roy Thomson Hall under Gustavo Gimeno, the album pairs Béla Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra with the complete score to The Miraculous Mandarin, featuring the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir, alongside the sediments, a TSO-commissioned work by Canadian composer Emilie LeBel.
