Toronto, ON, June 23, 2025 – Fête Chinoise proudly launches the 5th annual ‘Love at Mid-Autumn’ campaign, a cultural project that honours Chinese heritage and tradition through meaningful storytelling, artistic design, and philanthropy in Canada. It will be a milestone year of new programming, with a special theme of Collective Memory through Childhood Lanterns. Early bird discounts for the highly anticipated collector’s mooncake gift sets are now available at www.loveatmidautumn.ca until July 5, 2025.

Each year, the limited-edition mooncake gift set is designed to inspire nostalgia while celebrating identity and community. The 2025 set includes:

  • A limited edition collector’s tin, designed by Palettera
  • 4 full-sized heart-shaped mooncakes baked by Saint Germain, made in Canada
  • The 2025 of the Fête Chinoise Design Annual
  • Special offers from our sponsors and partners
  • A brochure that doubles as a greeting card, with space to write a message

The 2025 design honours memories of childhood lanterns, drawing inspiration from personal photographs shared by the Fête Chinoise community. These lanterns symbolize warmth, hope, and the joyful spirit of Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations. Hand-coloured with raw pencil crayons on a crisp white backdrop, the artwork blends nostalgia with a fresh contemporary style.

In this 5th year of Love at Mid-Autumn, Fête Chinoise is excited to announce the expansion of the campaign, to share the joy of the Mid-Autumn Festival across Canada. This year’s programming includes a brand new National Colouring and Art Competition, launching in July and an elevated Community Event to welcome all families and generations, scheduled for September 27th, 2025. Further details will be announced soon.

Since 2021, the ‘Love at Mid-Autumn’ campaign has raised and donated over $218,800 in net proceeds for Canadian charities, including Markham Stouffville Hospital, SickKids Foundation, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehab Hospital, and the Scarborough Health Network. For 2025, all of the net proceeds from mooncake gift set sales will support the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the Chinese Canadian Museum, and the Fête Chinoise Cultural Foundation.

Fête Chinoise Founder and Editor-in-Chief, Deborah Lau-Yu, shares, “This is a big year for Fete Chinoise, as we celebrated our 10th anniversary as a cultural platform. It was time to expand the impact of our Mid-Autumn project, and we’re thrilled to send our artwork into every Canadian home so that every child and student can have access to beautiful artwork to engage in Chinese culture in a modern and familiar way, inviting them to be a part of our Canadian community of diaspora stories. Parallel to the work of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the Chinese Canadian Museum, Fete Chinoise’s mission to “move culture forward” is at the heart of everything we create for the community. Art and culture nourish and shape who we are, and how the next generation will value the arts and its ability to inspire and transform our personal journeys.”

Mark Williams, Beck Family Chief Executive Officer of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, shares: “Music gave me a sense of belonging and possibility—and today, through the TSO, I work to pass that on. Thanks to Fête Chinoise’s Love at Mid-Autumn campaign, thousands of young people across the GTA—from Markham and Scarborough to Richmond Hill and Downtown—are discovering their own spark. Somewhere among them is the next great musician, waiting to be heard. Your support helps turn that potential into promise, and we couldn’t be more grateful.”
“We’re thrilled to be part of Fête Chinoise’s Love at Mid-Autumn campaign," says Dr. Melissa Karmen Lee, CEO of the Chinese Canadian Museum. "This partnership helps shine a light on the Chinese Canadian story from coast to coast. We’re excited to celebrate culture, community, and connection — with support that makes a real difference at the Chinese Canadian Museum.”

The 2025 Campaign is created by Palettera and proudly supported by Scotia Wealth Management (Official Banking Sponsor), The Remington Group (Gold Corporate Sponsor), Saint Germain Bakery (Bakery Partner), Markville Cadillac and Yorkdale Shopping Centre (Silver Corporate Sponsors), Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (Toronto) (Community Partner), National Post, The Kit, and Fairchild Radio (Media Partners).

Keepsake mooncake gift sets are available now at www.loveatmidautumn.ca on a first-come, first-served basis. Early bird pricing is valid until July 5th.

Toronto Symphony Orchestra

Reaching young people and developing enriching educational initiatives has been a part of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra’s core programming for nearly its entire history, with the first children’s concert performed at Massey Hall in 1925 and the establishment of the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra in 1973. The TSO is incredibly proud of its expansive music education offerings, which have grown to reflect the needs of our community and almost 40,000 students annually.

The Chinese Canadian Museum

The Chinese Canadian Museum works to share the personal and often neglected stories of the Chinese Canadian community. The museum honours the history, contributions and heritage of the Chinese Canadians while elevating and engaging with voices and communities from across this country. Your generous donation will help ensure that the diverse experiences of Chinese communities in Canada will not be forgotten or excluded — rather, it can be amplified and advanced.
